The Cloudsplitter is moving to nearby High Knob, due to ongoing issues with trail access and easements on the Pine Mountain Trail. High Knob is the mirror image of Pine Mountain, located deep in the heart of Central Appalachia, and it is at the highest point in the Cumberland Mountains at an elevation of 4,223 feet above sea level. On a clear day, four other states can be seen from the High Knob summit: West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.
We are working with Norton city officials, the United States Forest Service, the Clinch Coalition, Spearhead Trails, and local residents who are helping us facilitate the move. We expect to publish a course map and participant guide very soon.
Registration has been reopened and more details will be added to the website soon!
